Peace folk, in this iteration of In Conversation I got my brotha and good friend Julio. He's been one of the people who has been locked in on my art and personal journey for basically half a decade (if not more at this point) and in the same respect I've also had the pleasure of watching him grow and transform into the person he is today; so when i say the amount of respect I have for this man is unrivaled, I genuinely mean it. From his work within community, politics, and activism, to his ability to write and express thoughts and emotion through word (y'all gonna see how insane this man's poetry is one of these days). He's an all around stand up dude so big love to the homie (especially since he trekked out to the Rockaways early AM to make this shoot happen). *salute*
(Also big shoutout to Darryl & Jose to coming out to the Rockaways in the AM as well)
Definitely the longest talk we've had to date, so the synopsis doesn't do it any real justice. But in this talk we touch on a number of topics ranging from the modern day issues, finances, the importance of community, being politically aware, navigating a post-covid social world, and many more things; As I always say: Watch tha thing for tha full sko.
Lesson of the day: No Nike Techs in 80 degree weather.
