Overview
Black Sheep
An idea that sparked in 2021, the collective was born in 2025.
Black Sheep is a collective consisting of artists DHM and Jose. Some of our current goals are operating from a point of counter culture, delivering social commentary, creating community, and focusing on experimentation within art. The group really works as an external vision of both our influences, and thought processes.
We’ve both operated as people within the art industry without really being in the art industry for a number of different reasons, which led us to realizing that we both have the skills and knowledge to create and operate within our own worlds.
There is no need to run to the culture because we are the culture.

Black Sheep Park Links was a project Jose & I worked on over the Summer where we coordinated group links with friends and family. The links were a way to work towards community building while encouraging others to be outdoors and to catch up with the people in your life as well as meet some new people. During these meetups we would play sports, talk on future endeavors, and share creative & life practices.

In a very dense but short talk we touch on points of our collective “Black Sheep”, finding inspiration and references in the world on a day to day basis, finding time to take breaks while creating, how life experiences translate into art, understanding personal influence, and sobriety.
