Update

Summer has been treating me well.

I know I been a bit MIA on this site since the beginning of the summer. Life seems to have caught up with me in the most hectic but pleasing way possible. I’m working on a ton of projects and have been coordinating a lot of link ups amongst friends and community; it’s dope as fuck, we’re outside and we’re taking in the world around us.

I’ve had to take a few breaks since the summer started to realign my energy, especially with how active I’ve been. I know that come fall/winter I’m more than likely going to slow down though since most projects will be done or close to completion and the weather change will cause everyone to spend more time indoors. However, we carry on (shoutout Portishead)

I told Jose I’m on 10 until the year is up, even on my off days I seem to be recharging for the next task at hand.

I’m realizing that I have the strength and skill to handle all my responsibilities.

Previously I’d shirk them, feeling that I’d be seen as too rigid or that I’d become disliked for enforcing responsibilities; but lately I could care less. I recognize that things need to get done, and someone has to do it if nobody else is willing to step up to the plate.

I want to be more present for my friends and I want to be able to support my people further in whatever way shape or form that means.

I’m finally seeing community cultivate, and it was something I never really thought to be possible a year ago; I’m proud of how the past year has panned out.

Big shoutout to all my friends and family who been holding the kid down through all the bullshit, I appreciate y’all more than any of you could understand.
